Bead Bracelets through a Male’s Eyes
I should foreword this article by saying that I am not a wearer of bead bracelets and I don’t believe I fall within the target demographic. Even so, I’ve had more view to beads and related jewelry than most men. I’ve been in a relationship with someone; we will be together for one year this emerging May. Her taste in jewelry might be different from other girls but I think her appreciation for different wrist wear is what Novobeads looks for. Continue reading

How to Become a Home Repair Guru for Reputation Management
You’re a master of home repair. You know how to right anything and everything. You could write the book on the whole gamut from electrician’s work to plumbing. You understand how to do everything but, would you think about yourself to be a guru, somebody who people go to in order to get information? You probably don’t consider yourself as such because, well, no matter how popular you are, you can’t really talk to too many people without some form of large-scale communication. Whereas you once had to publish a book or host a TV show in order to get your name out there, you can now do the very same thing without having to spend a dime through web marketing. Of the many flavors of reputation management out there, social media management is my popular choice, but you really should know all of them and how they can aide you. Continue reading

The Ups And Downs Of Creating Lampwork Beads
The term “lampwork” is used to describe handcrafted glass beads that are developed by melting glass rods with a torch. And no, the beads aren’t used on lamps (unless of course you want to use them on lamps). The word “lamp” is an acknowledgement to ancient times when the glass was melted with the flame of an oil lamp. These days, the craft is also called “flameworking”. Lampwork beads are typically used in jewelry such as bead bracelets, but can be used in different things as well, such as drawer knobs, candlesticks, pens, serving utensils, and more. Making Beads From Fabric
The technique of making beads from fabric involves taking scraps of material, fibers, threads, etc. and washing the bundle in the washing machine or by hand and then putting everything in the dryer where the material/fibers would get tangled. This is a fun way to use beads aside from the usual bead bracelets and necklaces. Continue reading

SOPA And PIPA Censorship Could Constrain The Way We Use Twitter For Business
Congress is currently discussing two bills that have serious implications for the way people and companies in this country conduct business and network online. The bills causing the racket are the “Stop Online Piracy Act” (SOPA) and the “Protect-IP Act” (PIPA). The creators of these bills claim that the legislation is aimed at foreign companies that break U.S. copyright laws. However if Congress passes SOPA and PIPA it will set a precedent for censorship of the internet. It will affect everything from the way companies use Twitter for business to the sharing of material on sites like Google, Bing, and Wikipedia. Everyone from the small-time marketing firm to the multinational corporation will be under surveillance. Continue reading
